The place we call home is where we find satisfaction, pleasure, comfort, and protection. It is where we first open our eyes to the outside world. Thus, it becomes the safest place in the world in our minds from the very beginning of childhood. It goes without saying that having a house is a blessing in this unpredictable world. Only a roof over one’s head can complete a home if it is filled with happiness. However, four walls and a ceiling cannot consistently achieve a house. It is completed when your loved ones are all around you. Before it is too late, one must understand the value and significance of a home. 

It is simpler to accomplish life goals in a safe and secure environment. As the saying goes, “Home is where the heart is.” There is nowhere like home; throughout history, individuals have built houses for themselves. Due to the COVID _19 pandemic, everyone was required to stay at home to be safe. It indicates we need a place to call home in good and bad circumstances.

     I am privileged to live in a lovely house. It is situated in Model Town. Its layout design is so beautiful that all the rooms get enough light and air. I live in this house with my siblings and my grandparents. My parents worked very hard to construct this home for us. It contains four rooms, a patio, a spacious Drawing room, a kitchen, and a balcony. There is a beautiful garden in front of the house. The garden is big enough for us to spend a lot of time admiring nature’s splendor. My father enjoys spending time in nature. He, therefore, makes time from his busy schedule to take care of the garden. Every day in the morning, I can hear the chirping of many birds. Birds like sparrows, pigeons, and larks come to wake us up in the dawn. The lounge is a distinct sitting area with a television on the bottom floor. We spend good family time there, watching tv and gossiping.

We are book lovers, so my parents allocated one peaceful room as our mini library. Reading is as essential to me as waking up in the morning and taking my first conscious breath. As a child, I fantasized about having a personal reading space where I could sit and spend the entire day uninterruptedly reading my favorite novels. I now have a lovely private library in my home, all because of my dreams. This place is not like any other typical library but a small space with a vast selection of intriguing books.

 We have a spacious kitchen with modern facilities. There is a door that leads from the kitchen to the small backyard, so my family can have dinner outside when the weather is pleasant. A common saying is that ‘kitchens are meant to bring families together. My parents are good hosts. They serve the guests with utmost generosity and kindness.

           We also have a small garage on the left side of the house, and my father calls it his workshop. He spends quite a lot of time there creating, designing, and assembling various technological stuff. The room next to the entrance is our spacious drawing room.

 My mom chose traditional furniture and decoration pieces for our drawing room. The couches have an old floral design and are surrounded by cherry oak. All the side tables are made of walnut trees and have intricate designs and glass tops. This space is flooded with light during the day. There is a showcase in the corner filled with souvenirs, medals, and shields that we have earned over time.

  My home is the ideal spot for me to relax. I adore my home because it makes me feel secure and alive. Our house is a home because of the love and affection of our family members. We care for each other and do our very best to make our home a happy and sweet home. A family’s mindset determines their level of happiness, not the size of their home or other material goods.
